What are E Learning Blogs?

The term has multiple meanings to those not engaged in this particular industry. Even within its diverse disciplines E learning has ambiguous meanings to different individuals. For instance, in companies it often refers to the strategies used by the organization’s network to train its employees. Of late in most modern Universities, e-learning is being used to define a specific mode of imparting education. It has been developed for students who rarely or never meet face-to-face, nor are able to access on-campus educational facilities. Distant education has been designed for such pupils; thereby they can attend classes online.

Blogs on the various aspects of e learning are known as e learning blogs. Blogging has stormed into every aspect of technology and education as well. E learning blogs have a capacity to create a healthy competitive environment online. It gives the students a chance to share their ideas. Research by the Department of Education of United States has found that higher education students engaged in online learning as well as involved in e learning blogs generally performed better than those who attended face-to-face courses.

E learning blogs give the pupils a forum to continue discussions about their subjects outside their classrooms, while they also sharpen their writing skills side by side. Instructors of the highest caliber can share their knowledge across borders using e learning blogs; this allows students to attend and gain education across physical, political, and economic barriers. Recognized experts have the opportunity of making their knowledge available internationally, to anyone interested at minimum cost or in some cases for free. Students are not bound to a specific day or time to physically attend classes. They can also pause learning sessions at their convenience whenever required.

E-learning blogs have evolved a lot since they were first introduced in education. There has always been a tendency to move toward combined learning services, where computer-based activities are integrated with practical or classroom-based programs. With the help of blogs it is easy to set up a system where students can regularly read others’ blogs and comment on them thereby giving each other a chance to improve.
