What does it mean to blog?
The word blog comes from the word weblog. A person gets to make entries on topics that interest them that can be posted on a website. These blog entries comprise of almost any sort of information, including images, videos and other graphics. This is the next level to personal diaries that people have been traditionally used to.
With the invention of blogs, people started using them as plain online diaries. The trend came of age when corporations discovered blogs as a marketing strategy for the promotion of their products. Almost every company these days have a blog for their regular updates, the reviews of their products and services.
A positive way for students to express themselves.
The good thing about blogging for students is that they can pretty much express everything that they are feeling at their age. These views can be study related or even personal views. People from around the world who read these blogs, children also, can share their views and experience on the same. A blog is an interactive tool to get students from all over the world connected to each other.
Traditions that are the same in one country may not be the same in another country. The same way teaching patterns and the school life in one country might not be experienced when they are in another country. When views are shared over blogs on the Internet, it gives students a chance to see what other students from the other part of the world feel.
If you are a student and you are wondering why you would need to blog, then here is your answer.
The number one thing kids these days want to do apart from study is to have fun in whatever they do. It sure is a wonderful experience for students to have fun while they get to know what other students feel about their views as well. Students tend to forget that they are actually learning while they are blogging. It makes the experience more enriching for them.
The other good thing about blogging is that students actually get to have their views examined by the world audience rather than their just their school. Finally, students have found a motivation to be able to write because of the worldwide response they get for their view on current topics of discussion.
