Writing is an important skill while blogging. It is necessary even for high school students when they are blogging. There are many writing activities which are required while blogging whether you are writing a blog or reading a Blog or posting a comment on a particular blog.

The various fields where these activities involved are:

Writing an Argument

This is required when you are writing about the argument against the opponents point of view.

Writing a Comment

  • Factual writing- Instructions: writing instructions to the readers, how to do a particular thing.
  • Factual writing-Leaflets: this is like giving the reader a message in less space.
  • Factual writing-Letters: writing letters in a blog for all kind of reasons.  Like doing a complain, etc.

The writing activities in blogging are:

Family journal:  If you are writing for your child you can ask for things like how his or her day was or what is special about something or the favorite part of their book.

Multiple authored stories:  You can write a few lines of the story and then ask your child or any other family to extend it and later by taking turns you can finish the story.

5 things:  Whenever you finish reading about something, you can write down 5 sentences about what you have read.

Go digital
:  One of the high school student’s digital camera and computer has become one of his favorite schooling tools.  So he became more motivated and started writing about his experiences and his tools when he saw them published and read by others and received comments on it.

Writing letters:  There are times when you miss someone or you feel guilty about something or you want to express something but you are unable to say it, so you can write that in a letter form and post it.  I’m sure you’ll be happy to receive suggestions on that and you will feel a bit relieved.

Writing prompts:  These are journal questions or story starters so as to help in flow your creative juices.  And when you are out of fresh ideas you can receive couple of fresh ideas this way.

Book it:  You can also create a book by making a mail book. You can write three or four chapters and post some pictures and make a small book known as e-book. This e-book contains all the informative things about a particular topic.
